To do this, select the column header and drag it to the main header area:

You can repeat this process with any column header within the Velaro Agent Desktop. The different column headers are:

  • DNS
  • Browser Type
  • URL
  • Length of Time on Site
  • Visitor Name
  • Agent Name
  • Source of Visit
  • Referred By
  • Keywords
  • Department
  • Chat Status

As live chat is a real-time customer touch point on your site, the more visible the placement, the better the conversions. The rule of thumb is place your live chat button at the top of your pages.

The idea behind this is live chat only works if people know about it. On any page your customer may reach a point where they have questions. Once that question enters their mind there are only two possible outcomes:

  1. The visitor finds an answer.
  2. The visitor cannot find an answer, gets frustrated, then leaves.

Simple enough.

We all want our web sites to be designed in such a way that any possible question can be answered right there on the page. This is, of course, impossible. So when your web site visitors needs assistance, be there waiting for them.

The live chat button should be there waiting for your visitor with open arms. If your web site visitor has to leave the page they are on to go looking for help, with each click their frustration grows, until they reach a point where it’s no longer worth their time to continue looking.

Anticipating that need, and allowing your web site visitors easy access to you is a fantastic way to build customer loyalty, ultimately increasing your online conversions.
